The mission of the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center is to educate and inspire people about the natural world, and to instill a passion for the environment through science, history, culture and art. The Millbrook Marsh Nature Center is a 62-acre site consisting of a 12-acre farmstead area and an adjacent 50-acre wetland area. A Conservation Easement between Penn State and ClearWater Conservancy protects the wetland from future development.
Millbrook Marsh Nature Center is one of DGWW's newer nonprofit partners, but we have already completed two projects with them, as documented below.
DGWW was asked to renovate a well-built, but very weathered Little Library. They suggested that the renovation might make it resemble their new Education Center. We used the same stain they used, matched the rustic look, and added a transparent roof that resembled the metal roof on the Ed Center while allowing natural light in to make the contents more visible.
DGWW was invited to host an activity at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center's Earth Fest on April 19, 2026. We did, and we helped about 30 participants make Audubon-style Bird calls.
